The Problem with Maths

Harriet Collings18/02/2015

It is well known that fears are transmitted through the generations. If someone in your family has arachnophobia, there is a higher likelihood of you developing it too. This is the case with bigger, more abstract issues as well.

Maths, in this regard is no exception. Parents must take the upmost caution when expressing a dislike for it. My mother said, “I was never any good at maths, it’s boring”. This subjective conclusion “It’s boring”, was a nail in my mathematical coffin.

I am no good at Maths. Perhaps this is entirely my fault, but negative waves from my parents didn’t help. If you want to pass on a message with regards to schoolwork, try to make it positive.

Please give us a call now and we can help get the learning underway,
